Although older, simpler SFF systems could theoretically qualify as business SFF’s, these systems (such as Shuttle’s SV24) are usually based on older Socket 370 technology and lack support for cutting-edge CPU’s or forward-looking features. With the XP4, IWILL has designed a SFF solution they hope will bridge this gap and provide professional / business-oriented users with a low-cost, high-performance system. The XP4 is not geared towards gaming enthusiasts or high-end multimedia systems, but those of you looking to build a high-performance general office computer may find this system appealing. Although IWILL has made a name for themselves in the enthusiast market with boards like the KT133A-based KK266 or the i845PE-based P4HT-S, the company’s core focus is on professional level boards and workstation-level components. IWILL products typically have a high price / performance ratio, and carry strong feature sets. Both factors will be important as we compare the XP4 to other SFF systems on the market.
